Simon and Andrew's father had mentions with 4 different variations of his first name. In the New International Version (NIV), their father was called Jonah in Matthew 16:17, then John in John 1:42 and John 21:15-17 while King James stated him as Jona in John 1:42 and Jonas in John 21:15-17.

Andrew, a follower of John the baptist, became one of the first disciples - Matthew 4:18-20 and 10:2; Mark 3:18; Luke 6:12-16 and John 1:35-41. The 2 followers of John the Baptist's in Luke 7:18-35 quite possibly were Andrew and his brother Simon Peter.

In Mark 1, Jesus recruited Andrew & Simon as his first disciples in verses 16-18. Soon after Jesus cast a demon out of a possessed man at the synogogue, they traveled to the home of Simon and Andrew where Jesus healed Simon's mother-in-law of a fever in verses 29-31.
Andrew, Peter, James and John were recorded with Jesus on the Mount of olives in Mark 13:3.

John 1:44 named Bethsaida as the town where Andrew, his brother, Simon Peter, and Philip lived.
He was with Jesus when he fed 5,000 with just five small barley loaves and two small fish - John 6:8.
He was also present when Jesus was greeted in Jerusalem with palms while riding a young donkey - John 12:22.

Andrew gathered with other believers in the upper room after Jesus' ascension awaiting the Holy Spirit - Acts 1:13.
