Abram & his wife, Sarai, travel to Egypt - Genesis 12.
In frustration for being childless, Sarai tries to use her maidservant, Hagar, as a surrogate mother. Hagar gives birth to Ishmael (father of modern Arabs) - Genesis 16.
Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed for their wickedness - Genesis 19.
Abram changes his name to Abraham after Sarai (Sarah) has
Isaac late in her years of life - Genesis 21.
Abraham becomes uncle to Aram, a son of his brother Nahor through his wife Micah and creator of the Aramean/Aramaic language - Genesis 22:20-24.
Isaac & Rebekah (Rebecca) give birth to Esau and Jacob -
Genesis 25.
Jacob has an encounter with God, changing his name to Israel - Genesis 32:22-32.
Jacob collectively has 12 sons with Leah, Rachel and their (surrogate) maidservants, creating the 12 tribes of Israel -

Jacob & his sons survive the famine in Egypt by becoming slaves to pharoah -

Joseph travels to bury Jacob in Canaan, then returns to Egypt - Genesis 50.
