Introduction - Hide/Show this section

Periodically throughout history, mankind has taken for granted the grace that God shows us. We praise God for his generousity; but, when trials come, we sometimes forget that it was God and not our own efforts that have provided our provisions in life. Job acknowledged in Job 1:21 that God gives and takes away. We should react as Job with thankful hearts knowing that God takes care of His own. During hard times, keep in mind how God has gotten you through in the past.
God's keeps His covenants.
We need to do our part and humbly show others the love He displays to us.

1 John 2:3-6:
3. We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands.
4. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5. But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him:
6. Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

If we recognize our shortcomings, repent (make a choice to avoid sinful acts), and yield to the Holy Spirit to follow God's ways, He can restore us to a healthy relationship with Him.
