Strangely, there are no Old Testament references to Nazareth. Nazareth was described as being in the region of Galilee. Almost all occurrences of Nazareth mention the town where Jesus Christ was raised.

While it apparently would have resided where the Canaanites once lived, then fell inside the portion of Isaachar after Joshua's conquest of Canaan, now Nazareth lies in modern Israel.
